Broken thru axle help

I've a crack in the Allen key part washer end of a 142x12 thru axle from a cube attain sl disc 2016.

They cost £50 to replace.
Are there any alternatives that will fit that are cheaper?
Are all thru axles of the correct size compatible?

Thanks

Ilm

Hi

I've got a torque wrench that are invaluable as you say.
Just need to find the thru axle now as is ever so slightly tapered at the Allen key end and not flat to the frame.

I'd also invest in a torque wrench, there's only one way bolts get cracked 1

Try the KCNC ones from XCRacer are very good and possibly lighter and under £35

I'd second the purchase of  a torque wrench.  I bought the Lifeline one from Wiggle (cira £30 I think) to make sure I didn't ruin a carbon seatpost and I've used it loads for all sorts.  Worthwhile tool to have.

Google is your friend. Funnily enough as is eBay.
Chain reaction have something that should do however you may not find ones with the Allen key end - they're more likely going to be cam locks.

£50 is very silly.  Yes, any 142 x 12 will do.
