Potential Fraud - Anderson Turner

Hi All

I have a post on the classifieds for a bike

I was contacted by someone "called" Anderson Turner

We agreed the sale of the bike

He said he would pay by cheque for £2000, then I could take the cost of the bike (£195) and send the remainder of the money and the bike to him.

This is a classic fraud scenario.

Please be careful if he contacts you

You can never trust a man with only two surnames for a name. Everyone knows that. It's one of the basics.

I was keen to sell the bike so I forgave the literacy issues seen in his emails.

But I seem to have become a beacon for these muppets since i used the Road.cc classifieds

BTW bike is still available to people who are spellcheck and paypal savvy

Who does fall for stuff like this? Who ever did in the first place?

At least do a good sham like an Ebay return that's actually a signed for empty box or a collection only item you pay for with paypal, collect and then tell paypal you never collected and want a refund.
