I've done a series of articles on my blog about what is good and bad about my current audax bike, and what I might get to replace it

The latest, "A New Bike?" includes a list of carbon fibre bikes with relaxed geometry, which might be of interest to sportive people too

tough break - literally - on the setavento. sorry to hear about that. good article though. i've been riding my genesis equilibrium as an audax bike (kind of...) and can vouch for steel, or at least that particular steel, over what i'd term long distances 1

I've ridden a fair few carbon bikes and i don't think i'd choose one as a super-long-distance machine. but that's me.
