Help! Argon 18 Nitrogen

For the life of me I can't find any reviews about the Argon 18 Nitrogen (not pro) bike. Does anyone own one? How good are they?

This was on my wishlist but just too expensive to justify at this time - looks awesome, has some great reviews. Also Argon18 take motors fairly easily 3

Knock off Argon18 with Italian grandad on board

I have had one for 6month's, it ride's & climbs fantastic! thumb's up from me.

Its defo a smoother ride than my alu Wilier bike.

Its a proper pro-spec bike (as used by Astana, though not everyone welcomes the association!) and formerly Bora, so as you say, more than enough bike for us.  That said, its very user friendly, and actually as good to cruise about on as 'on the rivet'.

Funnily enough, something about it appealed when I saw a pic of it in an advert.  Then I went to have a look and was hooked.

Thanks for replying. I only have a (aluminum) Specialised allez 2014 so this will be my first proper road bike. Hard for me to compare in terms of ride roughness i guess (aluminum rubbish bike vs carbon aero).

It is most definetly the best looking aero bike i have seen. It will be a better bike than I am a cyclist but who cares. Yeah I noticed how tight the 25mm were and the fiddly brakes but something still makes me want to buy one.

I especially registered to answer your post!  I have had a Nitrogen for 18 months.  I am not a racer, but do enjoy road bike time trialling and riding at speed.  

Pros:  Its a very stiff bike making for a very stable platform.  Its a good climber too as a result, with no effort wasted.  Reasonably light, and took me up some very steep climbs in the Dolomites last year.  Descends very well too, with that stiffness converting into very secure handling.  Obviously the bike only accounts for 20% of drag at speed, but it does seem to hold speed well, or rather where my other bikes seem hard work and give diminishing returns above 40kmh, the Nitrogen just keeps going.  Its an exciting, lively bike to ride.  In my humble opinion, its one of the better looking aero frames.  Build quality is superb.  

Cons: don't buy if you like a magic carpet ride, though its better than I expected given the big tubes and aero seatpost.  The internal cable in the downtube clatters over bad road surfaces.  The brakes are a bit fiddly to adjust and could really do with a proper quick release- to remove the wheels I have to deflate the tyres.  Can only take tyres up to 25mm;  clearance to the seat-tube cutaway is very tight, so bits of grit will marr the paint, not that you can see it.

All in all, I love it, and highly recommend it.  I would like to treat mine to some decent 40mm section wheels and some aero bars to really set it off.
