Surrey Police advice on overtaking cyclists

Surrey Police have joined in with giving some good advice to motorists on how to safely overtake cyclists. Of course the tweet has the usual stupid reponses from a vocal minority. But it's a good video, and Surrey Police have made some nice responses to some tweets.

Good stuff. I like the idea of "let[ting] the view develop" and not forcing the pass. Would be a good mindset to cultivate.

I did the CBRE 100k Property sector bike ride a few weeks ago in Surrey. Truly dismayed at just how obnoxious and deliberately dangerous many drivers behaved, punishment passes galore.

Shame they don't police the roads and have no interest whatsoever in dealing with incidents involving cyclists.

Nice, and I have to agree that the responses from the officer to the whingers and wrong were absolutely spot on.
