Campagnolo cassette with Sram Red 22

Hi Guys,

I'm currently using Sram Red 22 groupset with a short cage rear deraileur. I was looking at the cassette options for different brands and I liked the spacings of the 12-29 Campagnolo cassette. I was wondering is it possible to use that cassette with my current groupset? Also do I need to change my chain as well. Your advice will be really helpful. Thanks.

If you have a shimano/sram cassette on your wheel a campag cassette won't fit on, but this is a 12-29 11speed cassette which will fit on your wheel (shimano/sram splines).

11-speed eases compatibility with chains and cassettes between SRAM, Campagnolo, and Shimano. They're all spaced relatively close enough to work without issue, as Lennard Zinn of VeloNews has reported on before.

You do need to take a look at your freehub though. Campy freehubs have a very different spline pattern to Shimano's, which SRAM also use for almost everything bar their 10T cassettes.
