Winter riding in the Portes du Soleil

I'm off to Morzine next week with family and just wondered if anyone has any experience of winter Road riding out there. Is it possible? Are some of the roads cleared? I read the seven secrets article on the cycling challenge site. I've ridden out there in the summer and would love to take the chance and get layered up and get involved in those mountains again...

I used to live in Geneva, and went skiing in Les Gets  quite a bit.

It totally depends on how the winter pans out. Most of the time, then main roads into and out of these ski towns will be fine, clear of snow and ice.

But obviously if theres a big snow dump, it'll take a while to clear the roads (and what's OK for a car to use, is not OK for a bicycle). So you'll have to wait a few days.
