Alternative to Kona Big Rove?

Hello,

I am looking for a fitness bike which could take wider tires (at least 2.0") + fenders. Kona Big Rove (frame) looks perfect for me, but the price is a bit steep considering I would not use default setup at all. It is just my luck Kona sells Rove frameset, but not Big Rove one :-(.

So I am looking for cheaper alternative (or a company which sells just a frameset). I already found similar bikes like Koga Beachracer -- it is less suitable for my needs (no rack mount points, no mount point for cable for down-pull) but it is even more expensive. Also Salsa makes similar bike but yet again, it is even more pricey.

Is there affordable bike, just like regular fitness ones, that can fit 2.0" tires? Thank you in advance for alternatives.

Cheers,

Surly LHT fits tyres up to 45mm I think, maybe more.
