Job/Consultancy style position for Electronics Person

Job/Consultancy style position for Electronics Person:

Cycling in the UK (and other countries) is undergoing a boom period. However, many countries have issues of bad driving around cyclists, when there is insufficient infrastructure. After carrying out a survey last year and discussing with many people who ride bicycles, we noted a common theme with a specific issue that related to bad driving around cyclists. At present, many poor driving mistakes are filmed with helmet/handlebar (etc) cameras and posted to a variety of social media sites, and/or the police.

We are therefore developing technology that will readily identify such bad driving, and record it to video data, so that it can be used for prosecution purposes.

I am looking for someone to help develop cycle safety technology. At present, we have developed our initial prototype of the technology, and need to develop it further and then commercialise it.

The person should be either an electronics/electrical engineer, or be a hobbyist with appropriate experience.
The ideal candidate should ideally be familiar with embedded systems, PCB design and layout. They should be able to program both firmware and desktop applications, probably in C, but other programming experience is acceptable so long as you are able to learn C on the fly as initial prototyping is using Arduino and C.
You must have a keen interest in cycling and/or triathlon. However, you do not need to be a racing or competitive cyclist. Bonus skills would be CAD drawing, and web development

In the first instance, please email me at ric [at] sen-side.com, and include your relevant CV as well as a letter explaining your suitability for the position. Alternatively, i can be contacted here via PM
Many thanks
Ric
