Appeal for witnesses after fail-to-stop collision – Lewknor, Oxfordshire

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision in Oxfordshire.

At around 2.30pm on Tuesday, 13 January, a cyclist was involved in a collision with an unknown vehicle on the B4009 at Lewknor.

The cyclist, a 34-year-old woman, was thrown from her bicycle and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.She sustained two fractured vertebrae.

PC Mark Gulliford, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing in Abingdon,  said: “Motorists did stop at the scene to help but only one person left his details. I would like to speak to the people came to the aid of the cyclist to help establish the identity of the person whose vehicle collided with the cyclist who did not stop or report the collision.”
