Where has José been all my life...?

Watching the UCI's own coverage of the Worlds (when it's actually been available in the UK) I've been very impressed with José Been's commentary. According to her blog, she had never done English language voice-overs before getting the call to cover the women's World Cup this year, shortly followed by her on-camera debut at the Women's Tour in the UK, so she's had a quick but very successful baptism.

So the campaign starts here. Eurosport, give Ms. Been a chance on the anglophone channels. She's knowledgeable, affable and has a great style. The future's looking José...

I think that there should have been more commentators and guests.

Trying to use the right pronunciation for every rider's name is what I'll remember her for.

She's not Spanish, she's Dutch and has been covering cycling for years 8

I though José was a guys name, do the Spanish do unisex names? Obviously so.

I've seen and heard some good stuff from José but she did come in for a bit of stick when covering the men's U23 race earlier in the week and laughed at what could have been a nasty fall
