they are called a Trek Madone 5.5, and for the money you could get yerself something better..!
(not saying there bad or anything just if i had the cash for one i would spend it on something else..Litespeed, Colnago, etc etc)

hmm… well it's horses for courses innit. The Madone is offering a different experience from say a Litespeed or a Nagger - the former is Ti for a start, the latter…weeell some might say you're paying a slight premium for the name on a carbon Colnago while incurring a slight deficit on the technology front.
I reckon on a blind tasting the Madone would fare pretty well against pretty most top end bikes.
If you want a ride all day performance bike, that'll suit for either sportives or racing I really don't think you can go wrong. On the other hand trying out a Litespeed, maybe a Felt AR4, Specialized Tarmac, the very lovely Lapierre Xelius (ooh that's a nice bike), Scott CR1.
Check out our review of last year's 5.2 model… which thinking about it was reviewed by a man with a soft spot for high end titanium http://road.cc/content/review/1671-trek-madone-52-and-52-pro
here's a review of the Lapierre too http://road.cc/content/review/10321-lapierre-xelius-900
