Giro stage 5

What a tricky, tricky stage this was to pick for.

Having decided to maybe only make a change or two, I've done 6. 21

Oh well, there go my chances unless someone is smiling on me. 3 total wildcards and 3 potential GCs in for a shedload of sprinters.

Looking at the profile tomorrow and Thursday (and even Friday) it may be worth it. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagghh!!!!

2 4 6 7 plus some GC points, sprint points, mountain and youth points. Who knows, even LTR. I thought it would be a GC day and I was by and large correct.

I don't like him but looked at the stages 5-10 from last year and he featured heavily in those.

I was happy with 1,2,6,7 until I saw other teams, especially Joelsim.

1,2,4,6,7 plus Swift in the break and mountain points still for Tjallangi. Holding my nerve, no changes for tomorrow.

Except maybe one...

Got team in with 1 minute paniced a bit.
had 3 trades used them all, sold Ferrari , Kittel , Fischer.....Bought in Ulissi, Tjallingii and my smokey typical way for me , OGE Weening:)
He really impressed me with his turn of foot when he towed Gerro at end of Classic. Showed me he is good to go again this year, had a decent ride here last year.
Ulissi
Tjallingii
Matthews
Bouhanni
Viviani
Weening
Swift
Nizzolo
Chicci kept him as I remember how the Italians love to get the Laterne Rouge at home... I think Gavazzi got it like 4 or 5 times last year...

Actually I didn't do as Bad as I thought, can't believe I left Cadel out.
But Ulissi did the job, Mathews held on GC, weening must be in top 20 cause 2nd in GC.
Swift and vivi got some ok pts.
I think most got a few points, but I really got this stage wrong 35
Cmon Chicci, roll in last. He Nerver finished a Giro'...opps in my Purist. Out Lasted Kittel anyway .lol.

Yep, Evans is a consistently high finisher, likes to contest the time bonuses and stay clear of the crashes in the flatter finishes too.

A great fantasy team option, even if he doesn't win GC in the end (still convinced Quintana & Uran at least have the beating of him in the high mountains; been saying for ages though that podium here is well within his capabilities)

1,3,4,6. Did not expect a full on GC battle to take place. Felline and Gasparotto both fell which was unlucky.

Well done Joelsim

5th overall, which is great (and my first High Roller badge to boot) - but joint eleventh on the stage 102

Fear I'll never get the elusive stage top ten badge.

Still, mustn't grumble. Just hope I get a bit of luck tomorrow as well...

Solo breakaway win tomorrow. Calling it.

Don't ask me who, though. Cunego, perhaps.

No changes for me tonight. No doubt will be a fall tomorrow after the joy of today!

Just 1 for me, Arredondo for swift, as couldn't afford Majka or Uran without axing Bouhanni, but wanted to keep him for 7.

I think that's a bad move Ter but what do I know.....I thought I'd put arrendondo in but somehow forgot as I was messing with the team and left Hansen in 35 40 102

I noticed Haas got 10 Fantasy points although PCS has Stamsnijder rolling in with a later time than him. Don't know who was really last, and I don't have any of them, just saying...

I did Notice early after stage , that PCS had Haas last as well.
And now I can see why,Sstams ROLLED in 9min after Haas.

SEE this is what happens when you Jammed the scores in str8 after the event on a hill/mtn stage , instead of waiting for all the riders to come in or the cut-off time 24
