Wowsa! I took 20 pens, leaving me six TTers plus Cav, one cheap sprinter and a GC guy who might get top 20 today. Admittedly probably another 30 pens tomorrow...

30 in pens for me and I'll probably take them all out tomorrow as well

I may have done 7 transfers, but probably will only do 3 tomorrow.

30 point pen, but tried for a bit of balance nonetheless with TT-ers who can climb. Will still have to make at least two transfers tomorrow though, and then pens again for the next sprint stage.

Interested in the outcome of this one. Phinney's been sounding very confident, but I have a sneaking fancy that Rohan Dennis might just surprise everyone and take the win.

(N.B. if I had to stake actual money on it, it'd be Wiggins all the way)

I didn't think I cared about this comp what with it interfering with the Giro and being on too late, but I'm being sucked in.

I really wonder what Terpstra will do today. Although I'd probably consider him likely to top 5 in a normal circumstance, I'd be surprised if he's really going to go for it in light of his P-R victory, and with so many other people earmarking this competition (and this stage) as they are going to win jack-all the rest of the year. Accordingly my team and its penalties are a massive lay bet on Niki.

Phinney
Wiggins
Dennis
Sergent
Bodnar
Tvetcov
Howson
Cav
Stetina
3 pens

Nice Pick Tvetcov, got him in my purist 1
But you missed THE GUN...Aussie Damien Howson is WORLD junior TT champ and he absolutely destroyed them.
This is his Senior UCI tour ITT Debut, I am so excited.

P.S. I can't believe the lack of WORLD JUNIOR ITT champion at 5.1 value not in teams 1

Went for Howson, and I think Craddock comes in tomorrow but I don't think he'll place highly enough today. And I was just short in points to get him anyway without sacrificing cav.

Howson may be leader in da yoot competition by tonight. Hence picking over zirbel

Went for Howson as well. Dennis, Wiggins, Phinney, Terpstra and Sergent all present and correct too.

Was sore tempted by Craddock but I stuck with Terpstra, on account of this will probably be the one stage he'll get the chance to shine in this race.

I won't pick Busche on the entirely legitimate grounds that he pronounces his surname "Boo-shay". That'll learn 'im.

Yes I didn't go Howson, but I didn't want to make 2 penalties, plus I don't see much value in him tomorrow. As for Craddock, see him much more for tomorrow, but he is no slouch in the ITT and could easily top 10, and also be in contention for some YR points.

Back to Howson, yes I recognise his ability, and if you just got me to pick 9 riders he would be in, but I don't see him breaking the top 5.

I see the top 4 being Phinney, Dennis, Sergent and Wiggins

I actually fancied Bobridge too but again saw no value in him tomorrow, so left him.

1,2,3,5.....not gonna be the best, but shouldn't loose out too badly.

Let down by Craddock, and hoped for a little better from Tvetcov. also a little disappointed by Stetina

Same and Zirbel too feel could have been better. Disappointed with Terpstra, doesn't look like he tried very hard. I would be very surprised if anyone had Turel in their team.......
