Festive Bike Ride for Charity in Birmingham
I'm new around these parts, have re-discovered my love of cycling and have been putting my bike to the test, just in time for winter typically!
I'm also an events fundraiser for a local charity, Focus Birmingham. They support people with visual impairments and their carers.
I'm combining the two and organising a Festive Bike Ride on the 12th December. It's nothing too hardcore, just meant to be a bit of fun. It starts and ends in Harborne and you can either do the 14 mile flat route or the 20 mile hilly one.
If you want more info follow the links at http://focusbirmingham.org.uk/events/festive_bike_ride
Its £20 and you get a buffet meal at the end. It's just a bit of fun during the winter.
Sorry, for the shameless plug...once it's out the way I can go back to being a regular cyclist with no alternate agenda!

I'll give you a tenner for the charity if you do it exactly as depicted
I'll do it in the suit for £50, getting hold of the bike might be tricky!
who's gonna chip in? who's got a butcher's bike andy can borrow?
I gots a fiver says santa does the hilly ride
If people donate £200 (total) I'll do it in a santa suit up the hilly route!
I have just posted it up as an event on our Road.cc Facebook group.
It's not just about the size of your cog.
