and has anybody got an idea how to do this effectively?
This is the one.
They go in to a scrupulously clean and degreased BB with a headset press and lots of green loctite.
I recommend professional fitting.
There are special removal tools needed as its semi permanent.
What headset press do you suggest should one feel brave?
That one, ultimate value for money! Ps it's a pretty simple job.
Pass on the brand name ones, my press is home made, sorry , I can't comment.
Main concern is that you press it in absolutely parallel.
I used the Shimano bearing press in combination with the 2 cups from the Park BB30 Tool installation kit.
Ouch, that looks a rather painful install.
For what it's worth, I'm going to use this little fellow with my new frame:http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/386/pr_73_3001/praxis-works-bb30pf3...
I've heard it eliminates creaking and slippage associated with other BB30 adaptor solutions. Mind you it is a bit more spendy, but I suppose that's because it's the bracket and adaptor in one.
