Video: Unboxing the new Shimano 105 R7000 Groupset

We've got our hands on Shimano's brand new mid-range 11-speed groupset

We've finally gotten our hands on the brand new Shimano 105 R7000 groupset, and before we stick it on a frame, we thought we'd do a quick unboxing video and talk you through the main changes.

This is the real workhorse of Shimano's range, it appears on a lot of road and gravel bikes across a broad spectrum of prices, and this latest generation offering takes all the tech from the top-end Dura-Ace groupset but distils it down into a much more affordable package.

To clarify, we've got a mechanical rim brake groupset. It's also available with new hydraulic disc brakes if you prefer those.

He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes

It's available now - stock isn't always high but plenty of outlets have it.

We need weights for comparison, waiting with baited breath 1
Does Shimano claim the chainset is stiffer than 5800?
Front D/R looks like it might be the same as 5801.
Looking forward to the full review anyway.

We'll get it on the scales soon and share all the weights, just not had a chance yet as silly season with multiple bike launches going on. We will soon though I promise!
