If you've got between £1,000 and £1,500 to spend on a new road bike, here are six great choices

If you've got a budget of between £1,000 and £1,500 to spend on a new road bike this year, whether you've got your eye on tackling a local sportive series or getting into road racing, or just riding for fun and fitness, we've rounded up six really good bikes that we've tested recently here at road.cc.

So hit the play button on the video above and enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions about these, or other, bikes in the comments section below.

David has worked on the road.cc tech team since July 2012. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds.

"Bikes on a Budget"?

I suppose £1500 is a budget in the literal sense of the word but I don't think it's a modest sum for most (perhaps even road.cc readers?) to spend on a bike - which I think is what the headline is suggesting.

So where's the written version, so that I can search for words in the article?  You know,  words like FSA,  Rotor, Sram, Campagnolo, etc.
