The Velo29-Altura Daffodils Sportive is back for a second year. Over 300 riders enjoyed the North Yorkshire countryside in the 2013 event.
The Daffodils Sprotive is thematically centred around the famous Farndale valley Daffodils. The short route of 35.6 miles is easy on the legs, other than a short, sharp climb up to Kilburn the route is relatively flat.
At 76.5 miles the medium route isn't particularly harsh either, possessing no real climb, but is relatively lumpy.
The longer ride of 87.9 miles climbs Blakey Bank which is significantly more challenging than anything the easier routes has to offer, with the main climb averiging a 25% gradient of over a mile long!
The long and medium routes both contain two feed zones, and are priced at £20 per rider, while the shorter route is priced at £15.
