Team Townend Pushbike Challenge
The Team Townend Pushbike Challenge is a cycling ride in memory of Christian and Niggy Townend who were killed in a road crash whilst out cycling in 2010. The aims of the day are to raise money for charity, challenge yourself, enjoy cycling and remember Christian and Niggy.
There are two routes, 22 or 40 miles taking in some of the most scenic and spectacular parts of the lake district, as well as some of its most challenging roads, including the Whinlatter, Honister, and Newlands passes. In the last two years this event has raised over £17,000 for Road Peace.
