Address: Tackeroo Campsite Penkridge Bank Road Rugeley Staffs WS15 2UA RideIt! Cannock Chase is a classic cycling area and is one of our favourite locations. The landscape is a mixture of open heathland and woodland. We explore some super cycling terrain that on a crisp October morning really will deliver a memorable ride. We begin the ride at the heart of the Cannock Chase Forest. After a loop of the tree lined roads surrounding the area we head North out of Rugeley and over the Blithfield reservoir. From here we pass Bagot Forest and on to the Buttermilk Hill followed by the descent of Marchington Cliff. The return route comes back via the scenic back roads to the north of the Forest. Camping: Camping is also available at this venue on Friday and Saturday nights, so you can make a weekend of it. Facilities are limited to portaloos , cold water and a rubbish skip, so it’s basic, but we are only charging £5 per person per night!
