Keep those New Year’s Resolutions alive… ride more… get fit?
The Ordnance Survey Equalizer will help you keep them and kick of your 2015 cycling season with the perfect early season sportive! As cycling gear gets better there is no reason not to enjoy cycling all year round. This event is designed to be a perfect winter event with flat roads and ‘warm’ feedstations which will provide you a hot cuppa to keep spirits high.
Starting at the home of Colchester Football Club, with easy access off the A12, the Ordnance Survey Equalizer is the perfect winter training ride, with 2 rolling courses just under 60 and 40 miles. Don’t be fooled by the rolling course title as it still delivers approx. 2500ft of climbing over the Epic route.
The route takes you through “John Constable” Country. Hadleigh Castle and Dedham Vale, were favourites of the painter who loved this area of outstanding natural beauty, thanks to the river Stour which is prominent throughout the course.
This flowing course will allow you to get in some valuable early season miles and start the season as you mean to carry on. The finish line provides a warm welcome waiting for you, a brew and a medal.
