saturday 27 September, 2014, 1:30pm, pendine sands, carmarthenshire, sa33 4ny.
groups, individuals and families are invited to take part in this new event, the first rainbow run in west wales.
here's the idea...
Come along wearing a white t-shirt (and running gear you don’t mind getting messy) and you will leave with a smile on your face and every colour of the rainbow!
You’ll run through ten stations of colour where you will be showered with different coloured powder paints.
You don't have to be an Olympic athlete; a reasonable level of fitness will get you round the 5km route, with a lot of laughter helping you along the way.
fun and laughter
Rainbow Run is not a race, nor is it about speed or fitness; it’s about celebration, having crazy fun with friends and raising a smile for your Tŷ Hafan.
Tŷ Hafan is a magical place, full of fun and laughter and not what you might imagine a hospice to be. We aim to make the very most of the precious time that our children and families have together. That’s why we think that the Rainbow Run is the perfect way to celebrate and support the work we do.
on the day
The Rainbow Run event village will be on Pendine Beach promenade. Registration will open from 11:30am in the event village. A full briefing pack with be emailed to participants in advance of the event, containing all information about the day.
On the day every participant will be given a bottle of water to start and receive a goody bag on completion, as well as your very own special memento as a thank you from us.
entry fees
single entry group entry
£10 per person up to 5 individuals at £30
(family group must have at least 2 adults)
We ask each participant to aim to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship or make an equivalent donation upon registration (under 16’s to aim for £20 each).
Please note that your entry fee only helps to cover our event costs. By raising sponsorship or donating to Tŷ Hafan you will be helping to provide care and support for life-limited children, young people and their families helping them make the most of the time they have left together.
age limits
The event is open to all ages from 8 years upwards – under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
It is going to be a fantastic day and participants who raise more than £50 each will be in the running to win a day out paintballing for 10 people.
Register today and be part of West Wales’ first Rainbow Run, as well as supporting ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances through Tŷ Hafan.

Definitely pet-specific. A friend bought a child trailer to take their dog with them to work etc. Dog was interested but was young and very...
As it's often said -'the way to justify the building of a bridge is not too count the number of people swimming the crocodile infested river!'
Agreed on all counts. And it's the tacit assumption that as it's only a cycle lane it doesn't really matter anyway.
I used to go that way to work. It's nasty and congested. I doubt any changes will make the congestion worse.
Both bikes are both 1x
I think you need to put some drop bars and slick tyres on a full-suspension MTB
Cambridgeshire villagers say parking problem is 'ridiculous' as buses squeeze past cars...
But who's going to lend them their Pinarello?!
Maybe Simoninspalding can reassure them - being in a Holland is OK....
Looks like it's happening.......
