Cheshire Plains and Peaks
This event, entering its sixth year for 2014, has been a great success, attracting keen cyclists and leisure cyclists looking for a challenge. The sportive is in aid of St. Rocco’s Hospice in Warrington and is supported by volunteers and by Broomfields Leisure Centre, providing an excellent start and finish venue. The event offers two routes of 60 miles and 100 miles, both starting at the Broomfields Leisure Centre in Appleton, Warrington. The 60 mile route takes riders through the rolling Cheshire countryside on minor roads, with the main challenge being the climb up and over Alderley Edge, before looping back to Appleton. The 100 mile route initially follows the same route but leaves the refreshment stop at Alderley Edge and takes the riders onto the more challenging climbs of the Peak District, up to Sparrowpit and returning via Buxton, through the Goyt Valley and over the Cat and Fiddle before rejoining the 60 mile route.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realise the Forest of Dean was inside the M25.
Those calipers arent the prettiest. Makes them look like Post-mount.
