Saturday 28th December and starting at 11am; the ‘Turkey Twizzler’ off-road mountain bike ride will be heading out via a starting lap on the new Odd Down Circuit then through the Two Tunnels Greenway to explore the trails around Wellow and Combe Hay.
The ride will take about 3 ½ hours and cover around 25km in all, including some technically challenging terrain. The ride is open to anyone with an off-road capable bike and some experience of riding off road, including young adults (under 18s will need parental consent and under 16s will need to be accompanied). Riders will need to wear a helmet and are encouraged to bring a spare inner tube.
The ride will include a lunch stop at the cafe at Wellow Trekking Centre. It will be led by Andy Stewart who is an experienced ride leader and coaches for the Sulis Scorpions Youth Cycling Alliance at Odd Down Cycle Circuit.
