Red Cow, TreorchyFed up with the rat run? looking for a change? then why not buy this pub and turn it into a biking hostel. It's at the top of the Bwlch for all the roadies, and 10 miles from glyncorrwyg for the fatter-tyred. it's got seven bedrooms, loads of storage, a function room and a pool table. and it'll set you back £95k...
I'll come and stay. i promise.
Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

Ah, but Dasy if you were running it as a cycling hostel or even a cycling hotel you wouldn't have to put up with any drunks… very often.
That sounds/looks like a very nice life.
I have been looking at a house in S. Wales for a while now...
Mostly looking in the Neath Valley as that is my missus stomping ground, but Treorchy could work. Not sure I want to run a pub though.
For a start I don't drink, and I'm not keen on drunk people, so a pub in the Valleys may not be the place for me!

Noticed it for sale before and do fancy the idea a bit. Problem is I want to go travelling from 2011 and it won't run itself. Doubt there is enough money in it if you have to pay someone to manage it.
But if the Man In Black is in for £500, and me, only another 188 people needed....

That is actually at the foot of the Bwlch and Rhigos.
Treorchy holds a special place in my heart, I ride though there quite often when doing the Rhigos/Bwlch route, it's a nice little town, even though Burbury are closing down there which has meant a lot of jobs going.
I did get heckled by some pretty hard looking dudes in a pub for my pink Rapha top as I rode by one summers day, and as all roads out lead up big climbs, I chose not to shout back and sprint for it!
Add a nought and you could probably buy the whole town…
