Haussler is one of the new skoolYep, my fire for the sport is burning yet again.
Why? Well after the circus of the last few years and books like Bad Blood, my mojo hasn't been working. But the Cervelo boys in black have stirred my soul.
Some facts:
1. Their team has no egos
2. They ride one of the best bikes in the peloton
3. Their kit is coooool
4. They have a finely balanced team
5. They have Brit good-eggs Dan Lloyd, Roger H and Dan Fleeman, plus Emma P one of the nicest and most unassuming cyclists on the planet!
6. Their ethos is all about development, unity and honesty
7. They are the winningest team of 2009 to date
8. They have a rider for all seasons and all flavours
I could go on...
We all need heroes in life and although I am a little past the posters on the wall stage (!) it's great to see the 'new way' taking hold. Long may it continue!
