Walk home and no pancakes

by Blackhound   February 24, 2009

Did a lot of hours at work since last spring and consequently less cycling. New Years resolution was to finish work twice a week on time and go for a ride. This has rarely happened so far and today was another late night at work and no riding. So gets to the bike for the short ride home and a puncture, the sixth this year. I only had a standard size tube with me which was not quite long enough for the rim, lbs having sold out!

The other week I fitted a brand new tyre and the next ride had a big thorn in it. Last Saturday a slow puncture appeared about 70k in. Until today all were in the rear. I just can't win at the moment. Anyway off to order a batch of tubes and a new pump and dream of riding.

And no pancakes either.

Blackhound, I would love to comment, but your subject cannot be spoken of, in the same way an actor cannot utter Macbeth. I do feel for you though, hopefully just a bad patch (no pun intended).

Si.
