Commuter diaries - Cycle Karma

Avatar

Every morning I pass a senior cyclist on the Bath to Bristol cycle path (you will know the rider I mean if you are a regular on the path...... The lovely old guy on an ancient tourer with massive glasses) and we always greet each. He is a constant on the Path. almost a permanent feature of my ride. Well this morning he was there again, but this time he was assisting a young lad who had a puncture and no kit.......... Now that's cycling karma..... I hope in years from now when I am riding I can stop to assist young riders. Respect. See you tomorrow old guy.

Regular but not daily, and usually not for commuting (I wish!).

When you guys are speeding along the path I'm hacking my way out to Hengrove along airport road, nice...

He's the man alright. I often wonder where he's off to every day; work, regular exercise routine, visiting friends, off on a ramble across somerset...?

I must be on the path within a few minutes of you a few days a week as I see many of the same people. Say hello if you see a tall lad with puny legs on a big blue gate (drop bar, silver 'guards).

Any other cycle path regulars on here?
