Commuter diaries - The Willy Wonka trail

I went on an old school MTB xc route at the weekend, riding away from the front door, with no manufactured trail centre in sight.

I love the variety of my cycling, getting absolutely caked in mud one day and road commuting through the city the next.

I found a great new trail over a ridge behind the Cadbury factory nr Bristol. A trail with huge potential; I have even taken my folding trail shovel up there for building. The trail has a great chocolate smell.

Must dust off the CX bike for riding along the Avon, no mud guards, hi-vis jacket or lights just hammering through as many puddles as possible with the labrador in tow.
