Bobbins shop front, Angel, London

Yesterday evening, with the lure of free alcohol, I cycled over to the new Bobbins bike shop. They plied me with white wine whilst showing off their new range of clothing and bikes. Bobbins isn't like a normal bike shop, it is a bicycle boutique catering for the more discerning, fashion conscious, urban cyclist.

You won't find any lycra or tubeless tires there, it is more wicker and tweed and all in a vintage look. Their new shop is literally behind where their old shop was and is now double in size to accommodate their ever expanding range of quality product. I must say that some of the clobber is borderline eccentric, my favourite being a bowler hat helmet which looked like it was borrowed from a giant. Check out their website because you will find something to put on your Christmas wish list www.bobbinbicycles.co.uk

Among the invited guests were the Ride Journal brothers, Andrew and Philip Diprose and Buffalo Bill from moving target. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, thank you Sian Emmison & Tom Morris for being good hosts.
