Windy days would have you reaching for the hyperons, I don't think descending the Galibier in even a gentle breeze would be fun on these. Shallower rims should be a bit more comfortable too.
Dude, chill out!
I apologize, really...
Remember the words of the venerable master, Gkam:
Heh heh, on the other hand, I have to admire a man who's so in touch with his emotional side!
Remember this?
Take it easy... Go out for a ride... Hold your girlfriend's hands! I, mean, I know you have one because you said:
It's just a game and just a forum
Life is good!
I mean you at least have a girlfriend, a bike, two legs and you've won a stage in the Giro here! What more could you want? Chill out, let it all out, come back and I'll be here to welcome you with open arms!
I'm not here to battle it out with you

Download this song. Listen to it, sing along, and think of me... And my most sincere apologies for pissing you off
My kindest and most soothing thoughts go out to you and yours...
Thanks!
Apologies that I don't know how to properly add quotes from previous posts without taking the whole post, but if it's possible to do that then I will learn it later, I promise.
I just wanted to add that I like this idea of Enrique's:

Basically, in a stage such as today the transfer deadline would be moved to the next stage and your transfers would never have become realized because the game organizers could move or cancel the transfer deadline and transfers wouldn't have taken place..."

A road bike fit is not going to tell you a lot about the right TT fit. Yes the bike fitter will be able to tell you what size TT frame after a road bike fit, but the nuances like stem length you will need a separate TT bike fit.
I had a dual bike fit, my road race bike and TT bike in the same session. Ended up with two people doing the fit, one worked solely on my road race bike fit, the other on my TT bike fit. Other than checking each others work at the end of the sessions, there was no conferring or swapping technical data during the fit.
The road race bike, very minor tweaks. But I had been racing it for more than 6 months.
The TT bike, I been racing 6 weeks, was being to get comfortable in what I thought was radical aero position. I was wrong, headset spacer removed, shorter stem, elbow rests moved back, seat further forward and raised a little.
Had one training ride, then raced it and took 1 minute off my PB over 10 miles.
My position on a TT bike is considerable different from that on a road bike. For example bar to saddle is 40mm shorter on TT bike. Which is why I am saying TT bike for tris, TT and training for tris & TT. Road bike for everything else (and with clips ons for mountain TTs
So if I had the choice for racing TT's I would go for TT bike over aero wheels.
Though if you are about to buy a new TT bike, why pay for a non aero wheelset on the bike and upgrade later. When you could save in the long run and buy now. The Canyon Speedmax AL9 comes with Reynolds aero wheels.
Is Cipo really THAT orange?
Leave her alone now and let it serve as a nice lesson to others"
[[[[[ Gkam84---if she gets away without appearing in a court of law, then yes, the incident will indeed "serve as a nice lesson to others", namely that reckless drivers will continue to get away with their recklessness....
P.R.
.....I might also add lets not be completely naive about the sport of cycling.....
Even though I suspect that they are all doping doesn't mean I can't enjoy the race. I just find it less enjoyable if some nutmucker juices himself so much that it stifles the competition. It's like playing a computer game with all the cheat modes on. You may get to see a finale, but the satisfaction from accomplishment is absent.
Well let's see, he is leading the race in what appears to be a very dirty sport. People don't cheat so they can place well, they cheat to win. Ergo the leader of the race is most likely the biggest cheat.....oh, and guess what happened with Lance.
I would also look at his team, which has a record of doping cheats, Vinokourov and Contador (oh yes, and that man Lance again) to name the main ones.
If you also think that a full minute on a 20k time trial is down to Specialized giving him a better bike I would say you've been digging too deep with the cotton buds. I know Thursday's TT was uphill, but his performance in the first ITT was too good to be true, let alone his second.
It is NOT pointless, its in the fairness of the game. It happened last season and should happen again.
He needs ALL his points taken away. Whether you picked him in good faith or not. He was entered by his team into the Giro in good faith...look how that turned out.
IF a rider in any of my remaining races gets the boot for doping....expect him to lose ALL of his points for the tour
Perhaps people need to review some of their comments about people which may be libelous - I'd hate her being able to prosecute for defamation and make money out of the incident. Or for her solicitor to buy some more loud jackets either.
Surely Cippo buggered off after the starters and got a nose bleed when he 'climbed' onto the podium?
No... I am... Iron Man... (Cue Black Sabbath song)
!
enrique I have made my point so please stop quoting me and shut the fuck up....Sorry if this offends anyone but everyone has their breaking point....Complete and utter tit...
Let's invite Emma Way....
I think there's a lot more than mumbling going on about Froome already!
The A600 is good for SPDs too, it's an upgraded A520. I do too much commuting and walking from bike park to work to justify proper road shoes and pedals. I don't feel like it's ever held me back. I'm doing the Tour of Wessex this weekend on SPDs and A600s.
I'd not either. Thanks also
Also, am I the only one who thinks the drops have been welded on upside-down?
Difficult to steal? My allan key says otherwise (speaking from a handlebar theft experience).
Think you're confusing real life and CSI-style TV shows. Despite what the TV might show, these tests take time, and following proper procedures is not something you can do in 5 minutes...
Get away scot free from what??
Tweeting something stupid?
There is NO proof of this accident, nothing was reported to the police at the time. One side would have to push for charges to be made before it can go anywhere....
The police cannot just magic up charges without knowing exactly what happened.
YES she admits that something happened and that the tweet was stupid. But there cyclist's story is as vivid as something your would hear on Jackanory.
Unless you are Emma or Toby, you do not know the exact details of what happened. So NO-ONE on this forum or anywhere is in a place to judge what the crime was or the penalty.
As for her other tweets with the car in front and the 95mph. She would have needed to be caught at the time with the mobile in her hand with the car running and keys in it. You cannot just take photographic evidence like that and make assumptions....
I don't understand why campag would release these new wheels to fill the gap between hyperons and Boras. At the weight that is stated it is about the same as hyperons and is more aero efficient. So why would anybody buy hyperons? Are campag going to either discontinue hyperons tubs or release a new model that is lighter??
The points should not be removed . Everyone picked the person in good faith. If a rider gets caught after a race you already won and got the prize you keep the prize.
The people who lose out are those with him in the purist team, much like if a rider crashes out. A person in a fantasy league should not be penalised for something out of their control. To punish someone like that is pointless and as much as I hate dopers its not exactly proving anything.
In fact its kinda like putting in a provision where you have to pick your team on who is least likely to get caught.
Punish the rider harshly, and look at the team closely but dont over react and get silly about it
I'd like to know where it was agreed or decided for it to be changed this year.....
I can't find it. I know it was agreed for people DQ'd from a stage, but not chucked off a race for doping reasons.
