Lifetime ban. Clearly not a proper person to be given control of a potentially lethal vehicle. Probably needs to be tagged as well to make sure he doesn't drive while disqualified again.
I don't see why it should. I've reported downhill segments where they had side roads that made them dangerous and the present system works fine as far as I can see.
Strava can't reasonably know the reality of every hill / mountain descent on the planet so I don't have a problem with them leaving it to sensible locals to flag dangerous segments and riders to only push hard on descents that they know well enough to be safe on (i.e. responsible riding).
It's because he slowed down to have a look. They didn't like him having a gander...
Will be interested to read the review when you've been for a spin. Wonder how this stacks to the new Sa Colabra .003 from Hoy bikes too?
105 points for me I think, 1, 4, and 9 plus GC points.
Realised that may be a possibility but was hoping they would have let him go because of the finish .....still either way I was wrong ....Again!
Please don't let Enrique beat me overall ....I'll be suicidal if that happened
The enraged speed bumps stay away now I run the dog to work off-road. Speak softly and carry a Dalmatian.
I'm a regular use of the Redway system in Milton Keynes and find it to be a safe way to cycle around the city. The Redways are now kept relatively clean and repaired as can be expected, given the present finanical crisis councils are facing.
Cycling in MK is made even better by the fact we have two National Cycle Routes running through the city and the Grand Union Canal makes a great cycle route also.
You still have to contend with the ignorant idiots who cycle on the wrong side or ignorant pedestrians who seem to think that the routes are not for bikes, despite signs everywhere clearly indicating bike routes.
Beats my 1,10 although I do have 1,8,9,10 on gc .....
Well, if people are posting segments on shared use paths - which they were, and riders certainly go way to fast on the Bath-Bristol path - then you can't really blame Sustrans for having something to say about it. The story now has a link to that article but here it is as well. I wouldn't say there's too much in it that anyone can really complain about. Although I'm sure someone will find something

Martin, good luck to you and the team - oh and to Hoppo riding it. If I had seen this earlier and had a free diary in June I'd have been there for you, but for both reasons I cant!
Good luck guys!
Does this mean that Strava will finally stop their pussy-footing with regard to 'hazardous' segments and anything that brings you closer to sea level faster than sinking through solid earth?
Excellent result for Froome and Team Sky - if people doubted his credentials against the likes of Contador, perhaps this is finally proof.
Even though Im a Wiggo fan, Froome is more exciting to watch. With the issues last year I think we may well have seen the same issues but in reverse this year at the Tour.
Froome is proving his status of Tour contender, and Sky team leader.
Chapeau Froomey!
@Beardandsandals - think you've misunderstood Hood's comments. 'Feel the fear and do it anyway' is their signature, not a statement made in regard to this subject.
Otherwise, hood is advocating taking responsibility for one's own actions. Use of the word 'in play' is just an expression of speech.
His injuries are painful. He had antibiotics. Mr. Needham, you poor dear innocent man, all the readers of Road.cc I'm sure would join me in offering cuddles and a few tears.
Stay strong little soldier.
Did it have a wingman?
Sorry, don't understand why people are slamming Sustrans so much. Sustrans are trying to create an environment where cyclists and pedestrians co-exist.
I use the B2B cycle path 2 or 3 times a week, and have seen other riders on tri bars, trying to eke out speed. Just as racing a Ferrari on a dual carriageway full of normal traffic isn't appropriate, time trialling on a shared path isn't on.
I can do although I prefer to mix it up on the way home and being up in N.Yorks there are plenty of options for that.
A week off could work but with the good weather and that fact I'm chasing 1000 miles it would seem like an awful waste, I'm sure we all know that feeling of regret when not taking advantage of good weather!
Perhaps a new bike would help?
Just 1 & 9 for me, dont think thats gonna help my overall!

Another shocking day fantasywise too
Geese are a regular hazard in spring on the short stretch of canal I use to get to work. I was late for work one day due to waiting for geese to move... Just before hatching seems to be the worst time.
Well that was dull.
The Princpia Rex was LESS than half with Red- 3000 and the frame is nicer. Granted no Zipps but you can 2 or 3 pairs of Zipps for 3500. All this bike does is help make Mike Sinyard rich...
I signed up yesterday and have an overall rating of 7.7. Not sure how much I agree with the ratings really - I sometimes do a 2 hour hilly loop that I reckon I blast through - for these rides I score around 15. I have some club runs which take 4 hours or so scoring below 7 but which I don't think I ride so hard. So maybe the distance is a big factor here?
