maybe. it'll end up with guards. possibly it's because it's a big size (60cm) and that accentuates the gappiness (is that a word?) around the wheels.

I think the photo is a bit on the wonk, front wheel lower than rear, the white saddle on white sky, ti post/collar on ti frame. It all just looks a bit off. Better pic and a black saddle/post would see its true beauty shine im sure Wink

Does anyone know which cycle clubs are the ones that will be based out of the velodrome? I have had a hell of a time finding this out. You can book a £30 taster session online for the velodrome, but there are those who might rather join a club, and do it through the club...but which ones are there at the velodrome?

  • Strade Bianche Rider List1 year 8 weeks agoI'm sorry, when it comes to

I'm sorry, when it comes to enrique I have a short fuse, I shouldn't have said what I did and I apologise.

If you go back a while I think its fair to say that I gave enrique the benefit of the doubt for a long time, much longer than others, but that in the end his largely patronising way, incessant "suggestions" which were basically becoming almost hourly posts on how things would be better if X, Y or Z were allowed (often contradicting each other) or how things were better before something was changed (despite enrique requesting or supporting that change) and general forum demeanor pushed me over the edge and to get to the point at the end of this thread

    http://road.cc/content/forum/85578-rider-values

I admit that largely the behaviour of enrique has improved at the start of this year (the astroturfing using a second account aside) but my opinion has been coloured by past behavior which means that I have less patience and perhaps 'go off on one' a little too easily when it comes to enrique. I'll try to do something about that and give him a fair chance so long as he stops offering me a hug.

This probably will also go some way to explain why those who've been on the forums longer appear to have an unfairly negative opinion of enrique, at least in the eyes of newer players. As a whole the forum is generally a nice play to be and to chat and I'd hate to think that the way some that some of the long standing users react to enrique give new forum people a negative opinion of the forum as a whole so I will try and be better Smile

Surprised by the caliper position, seeing as Boardman can fit the rear one inside the triangle without clearance issues, as do Kona on the Rove Ti. Does it affect particular sizes worse?

not sure. a couple of things to note, over and above the fact that the brake bolt widget solves any mudguard issues, are:

    1) the rear position is a lot better for keeping water out of the rear cable run; the inboard position creates a loop for water to collect in

    2) with hydraulics it's not an issue, as they have a much lower profile. the Shimano ones don't foul the mounts at all.

  • Top Gear: Cyclist’s widow tells Jeremy Clarkson: 'Look me in the eye'1 year 8 weeks agoIt is easy to understand

It is easy to understand that, taken literally, the scene in question would understandably disgust and hurt those who grieve for a loved one killed by a lorry driver. (It wasn't the lorry). However, the piece was ironic. I don't understand how many cannot seem to grasp this. They play the fool. The piece satirised those who hold the views portrayed by Clarkson et al. Conclusion; if you hold those views, then you are a fool.
The scene highlighted in the article then becomes an inditement on the trivialising of these killings by the CPS, the legal system, the impotent law, and the politicians. The purpose of these institutions is to protect the vulnerable. They become abhorrent to other vulnerable road users in their failure.
The closing vignette qualified this. The tone was positive; implying that the motor user bore the burden of responsibility and should be thankful for one less car on the road.
