your credits wouldn't have changed that much, so it sounds like you have a specific problem which i'll investigate.
I did see that, but if it was the other way round it would just be the same, all part of the games you play when racing
Fabian rode like a champ. Constant pushes, snapping elastics everything. It was such a shame he didn't win. Also, Geraint Thomas has been brilliant this year. Everywhere you look, he is there, working like a trojan.
Speaking of in-car video, did anyone else notice the Lotto DS telling the Leopard DS that Chavanel couldn't help beacuse Cancellara was just too strong, but a bit later on he was talking to Chavanel, leaning out of the window pointing at Cancellara's wheel and obviously saying stay on it and don't ride?
I wonder how those cameras will affect relations between Directors Sportif.
The A 9 does not need to be dual carriageway for the amount of traffic using it, and by observation since the start of 2011 the amount of motor traffic on the road has noticeably reduced.
I've been driving around 800 miles every other weekend - a very sad domestic issue - and roads like the A1 which used to be relatively active on a sunny Sunday afternoon are almost deserted. Sunday traffic queues on the Edinburgh by-pass are shorter or almost non-existent.
Now what would be an improvement, is the delivery of better driver 'behaviour' especially in the speed/observation area.
At Crubenmore, there will need to be a number of culverts to feed water from the hills in to the Truim. THese have to be substantially 'oversized' to deal with meltwater surges and the rocks brought down with this. Elsewhere, probably when roads were designed and built by Highland Council (local) engineers, the huge culverts double as road crossing points to all who want a less hazardous road crossing. True in full spate the paths here will be underwater but when this happens very few people will be wanting to cross the road and very few people will be drivind - several crossings like this on A95
I like Finish Line Wax Ceramic (or is it Ceramic Wax? yes, I believe it is). Seems to last well, quiets things down nicely and doesn't need to be applied as often as dry lube. But in the winter I'll go for something gloopier.
Well, he's been getting decent points due to being in the top 20. But he's so expensive! Even more so than Cancellara for the Ronde.
Looks like aleksandr kuschynski coud be the bargain buy / hot tip for Paris Roubaix. Has anyone else heard this on the grapevine?
Looks like this guy got it right about a local fella -hope he picked him, 'cos I never .
Well you got the bit right about a local winner - hope you picked him in your team .
unless he comes back in of course
Would it be unreasonable to suggest that Philippe Gilbert has been a bit of a let down this classics campaign? Interesting to see that he is currently not on the start list for PR, which saves me the decision about whether to drop him.
Thought I had both Chavanel & Boonen in the points and was heading for a major score and a hike up the table... sadly, SEBASTIEN Chavanel didn't finish on the podium.
D'OH
yeah, didn't go so well for me
Even though I only ended up with 6 riders competing, I'm amazed that four of them scored decent points! Thanks for saving me Mondory, Ballan, Hincapie and Thomas is all I can say!
You can make a lot of lovely flapjacks for £1.30
... or you could buy a pack of 6 nature valley bars for £2.39 ...
Oh yeah, i got myself confused there aswell
Yeah with their stance just now it doesn't look likely, but they should still put the camera's in the car and let us see
Specially after the "sticky bottle" i saw where the driver was struggling to hold onto the rider as high speed
Okay, you've got me confused. You said above it's a "shame the UCI don't do something like that for the tours" - but they don't own or run those, either. My comment was about the UCI supporting it, not who might have been responsible.
Fact is, there has been a positive reaction to it from comments I've seen on Twitter and elsewhere, and the UCI could be a prime mover in ensuring that this was a feature of coverage in top-level events, irrespective of who owns and runs the races. But that's not going to happen with their current stance on radios.
That wasn't an experiment for the UCI, they dont own or run the tour of Flanders, nothing to do with them so the race can do what they like
Or so Eurosport told me today
At $250 it better be made made better than most Giros! Guess they'll charge extra for 'limited editions' as well.
David Harmon and Sean Kelly on Eurosport are pretty good at calling a race, but to hear Jonathan Vaughters actually tell Farrar and Hushovd to sit in the group and not attack was interesting.
Definitely added an extra dimension being able to hear the team managers etc, and it was one of the 10 points Vaughters put forward to improve cycling. Given the UCI wants to ban radios at all races (only World Calendar events have them now) I can't see them being behind any repeat of the experiment.
Cyclisme - Chavanel was like a limpet to Cancellara after he'd passed him, I think the handshake between the two ahead of the closing couple of km was a kind of 'may the best man win' after the efforts both had put in at the head of the race.
Yeah, I saw it live. Shame I couldn't understand what they were saying. And Cancellara looked like he was helping Sylvain Chavanel for the final 10k. What was that about?
FABIAN CANCELLARA
Also, anyone else watch it live?
I loved the radio and in car video from some of the teams, shame the UCI dont do something like that for the tours
Spoke too soon, snapped the tail off the front with my toe and the tail off the back when putting bike away, ooopppssss, both breakages snapped the lugs/bracket so will just have to see how they are without the extension pieces.
Me too lost 4 riders that were in when i did my transfers the other day and are now gone
