a rail ticket from London to Lancaster after the last leg of my intended travel plan home from the Alps fell apart. Excruciatingly expensive.
Bike related: New brake levers, new cables and bar tape. Sadly the right brake lever is scratched already, I dropped my bike while on my last ride before heading out to Chamonix. Got some hella road rash too.
3 packs of Bud (440ml can) 2 for £8.00 3 For £10.00 Drinking them now... but not all...
My camera hasn't worked quite the same since. Interesting face. Great bike rider.
PS : I'm moving to Perth later this year maybe I won't fit in....
Well done for the Eddie izzard / gollum (with a hint of erasure) Photo
.. used in this article to show off his best side
... well done though .....Have a full fat coke on contador.... It's true the photo was shot at a promotional event as he looked over to cavendish and ogled peta (watch out cav)
He does look scarily like Heath Ledger's Joker in that pic
Shimano XT 29er disc wheels for my roadrat and a bottle of bone dry Riesling
In the Vitus adverts in the main mags Mr Kelly is slapped with hair gel... we don't think he would go for this look in real life.... how boring
(might improve his commentator presence NOT)
Cookies from Saino's and burger and chips from the kebab van. I'll be glad once the Tour's over and I can get back to eating properly
Carbon Synapse great and if the price is right........?
TfL are rubbish at tackling safety issues in my experience. I've been pushing TfL to sort out a dangerous crossing near where I live. They're extremely lax and basically trying to save costs by doing nothing until a bodybag proves they're (not very) experts are wrong.
Bizarre that such an anomaly was allowed to remain
Who can blame him, although when I read the headline "Ten Dam looking forward to racing up Alpe du Huez" I imagined his thoughts might be fueled by a valiant stage win rather than a cold one on Dutch corner.
606 today overall 2nd time and most likely youngest competing (Where's the white jersey?!?!) pretty good tour
actually I didn't put cav on my team cause he was WAY too obvious, I went for Griepel
for the win: Amador with Jerome 2nd
4th overall,so not bad for a novice....
Cav to win tomorrow....though I think it will be a hectic finish and he might have to go wheel jumping...
Best tour ever I reckon....
Tour Heroes.....Tommy V...Johnny H...Pierre R
Disappointments....Eurosports useless commentators,Saxobank,Petacchi, tossers getting in the way on mountain stages disguising themselves as spectators and last but not least Wiggo falling off...
And finally congrats Mr.Evans...well deserved winner
How well ? - not bad considering its my first shot at this.
for tommoro - you cant look much further than Cav, 3 in a row and the green jersey to boot !
It has to be Voeckler - if half, nay all the football prima donnas tried half as much as this man ! Voeckler for overseas SPOTTY !
I have to add - my condolences to all in Norway and well done EBH for trying his best on an obviously sad day for him.
OK, i have to say now, i fecked up my values between the TT and tomorrow, so had to just take in some guys who might score in the inter sprint and HOPE Rojas wins
Cadel EVANS
Francisco José VENTOSO ALBERDI
Bauke MOLLEMA
José Ivan GUTIERREZ PALACIOS
Frank SCHLECK
Arnold JEANNESSON
Pierre ROLLAND
Rein TAARAMAE
Jelle VANENDERT
I'm just hoping the race leave Movistar and HTC to go fight out the inter, but no doubt Gilbert will try and get in there, but i think there is going to be a 9 vs 9 for the inter, well thats what i was to see AND some infighting and crashes
Been a great tour just hope Cav wins tomorrow
2x12 packs of beer.Bring on Sunday's final stage,hic!
To be fair, i think he needed after looking like this earlier in the week http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01949/cycling_1949023i.jpg
"At least one Dutchman did his nation proud on Friday: caveman Laurens ten Dam picked up a beer 2km from the summit, which he managed to drink before crossing the finish line. Beats the champagne photocall en route to Paris, that's for sure." - Courtesy of Eurosport.
Surely that deserves a bonus?!
How well: Was doing OK but had a shocking bonk and finished in the grupetto. Will take some lessons into next race.
Man for tomorrow: Cav, Renshaw, 1-2, Engoulvent 3rd with Amador surprising everyone to take 4th.
Best part: Seeing Cadel in yellow today after such bad luck in the past although he'll probably fall off in the neutralised zone tomorrow and break both collar bones.
Worst Part: Being stuck on a boat with crap internet and no live TV.
Who finished with a beer in hand?
Could I maybe get some bonus points for having one of my riders finish the stage with a beer in his hand?
It's all Veloce apart from the front derailleur (Mirage).
I don't know about the wheels- I must've peeled the stickers off at one point. They are the stock wheels that came with the bike though.
I'll see what sort of interest I get first before I go to selling off the parts. I've not got too much time for that at the moment. If someone takes it for £200 and gets £250's worth out of the parts, good luck to them!
I think even if the frame needed a total replacement, this would be a nice first road bike / backup. How much is an equivalent alu frame these days?
I know it was ideal for when I was starting out.
