Thanks guys, I will get on with an insurance claim then - I need a new bike to get to work, there's no way I'm paying to get on a bus now.
ha ha, the bus passengers were handing me their names & numbers as I was lying on the floor feeling a bit broken. The police have said there was no CCTV, presumably they've checked with the bus company too.
I'd like to see the content use the whole browser window rather than a narrow strip down the centre. This would reduce scrolling and make everything feel less cramped.
would love mobile app for Fantasy team management!
OK, fine, as long as they also start taxing that much more common and far more valuable "provision of a benefit": staff car parks.
Surely anyone rich and stupid enough to buy one of these 130 quid bottom brackets would have already "upgraded" to whatever they consider to be the latest and greatest BB-something oversize axle standard?
Nice to see that all other crime in New York has been solved and that the police can spare all these PCs to hang around on the off chance there's a cyclist who needs maiming.
Yep, go after the bus. Sounds like you were incredibly lucky not to get squished! I take it you have a busload of witnesses?
They just can't bear to see good schemes continue... what is next? ask us to repay tax savings back? Im very very cross
'the next step is offering the right level of service.' hit the nail on the head there. I always wonder how many more Boardman's they'd sell if they employed people who knew anything about bikes.
I took my Mrs to try one of their hybrids a couple of weeks ago and had I not pointed it out to him, the grockel serving us would have happily let her ride it round the car park with no air in the tyres. (and I mean absolutely no air.)Funnily enough we went elsewhere and ended up with a Scott
Shame really - I was looking forward to borrowing the Boardman...
Still, I do quite like the look of that SE for 450 quid
a CAAD10 105, I've been waiting ages to say that, lots of fun so far, plenty of acceleration and not to harsh
I think I know where this guy went wrong...
Does he look like he wants to be poked?
The whole thing has turned into a farce now and may as well be scrapped. People are better off finding a good deal and getting the bike on Interest free finance over 12 months or whatever.
Yet again, the Government lets a good thing go to waste

Stick with it. I'm glad the chap on the moped offered help. Whilst waiting in the bike box near Bank tube some tosser on a moped crashed into the back of me. No injuries and no detected damage but I was very angry. When I asked him what he was playing at he said I was riding like a maniac and wasn't wearing a helmet. OK, not so helpful anecdote out of the way. I signed up with CTC. Membership includes considerable financial assistance if you encounter another prat and the outcome is more serious. Good luck and don't be afraid of putting yourself where you can be seen i.e. using the ASLs as they are intended.
Not defending the policeman involved in anyway - he should have looked before opening his door.
However there is a very good reason for the 'ride a car-door width away from parked cars' guidance in our highway code - and if you can't leave such a gap then, if you care about yourself, you should cycle defensively. The speed the cyclist was zipping through those gaps was hardly defensive cycling.
how will the new junction look like, any drawings?
Thanks for replying bazzargh,
gone through all that, its not my pump and no cables it could be.
I can ride along casually and not hear the noise. As soon as a put the power down, climb a hill or get out of the sadle i get the tapping on the left peddle.
wondering if everything is as tight as it should be down there?
Glen
Have you checked if your pump is hitting the crank...that used to happen to me about once a year, I'd forget why it had happened the time before, and spend an inordinate amount of time looking at my feet. Come to think of it, this was on a 1200D, the predecessor of the 1.2.
It can happen when you apply more pressure because you bend the crank a bit (so doesn't show up when you spin the pedal by hand). There are other things down there that can tap, like the bit of cable jutting out of your front derailleur.
I wonder if the coppers will be taking their cameras.
These 'clarifications' meant my employer got bored with the whole thing and wandered off. No more scheme here, despite a high profile Green Agenda marketing campaign. Pfft.
m.road.cc is in development
True. Not much, though, I'd argue: mostly the cost is the ceramic bearings. We're only talking about a better shape and finish to the alloy.
let's be clear: we thought it performed very well indeed, but given that the carbon sleeve is unlikely to be lighter than a plastic one, you can probably do without carbon there...
@michophull - the axle simply pushes through the two bearings, nothing more technical than that.
Don't want to get hurt, then don't ride your bike on the street asshole
Well good luck, like you need it
There is only one suggestion i can make, that would be to make the forum page slightly more mobile browser friendly or get a m.road.cc, i just find it a hassle the amount of time the ad's take to load on my phone
Yeah, you could be right Old Ridgeback. Maybe it's just in upstate New York that they go for the 40 cal with its superior racoon take-down capabilities.
