Gets my vote
Another recommendation here - I had a pair (on a bike that was stolen, so sadly dont have them anymore
) and my dad has a pair. We're both around the 12 stone mark and neither of us have had any durability issues - I rode them for a full year, summer and winter, and they stayed in great nick. My dad's had his for about 18 months and they're still good as new.
If I could find a pair in stock at that price I'd buy another set! Hope you manage to find some.
Ribble don't have any in stock!
Cheers Guys
Yeah, it's Ribble I'm looking at, currently on at £ 191.96.
I think I'll bite the bullet and purchase them this morning.
Thanks again.
The large rise in Cardiff is probably largely linked to the ending of an experiment where the main pedestrian area was opened up to cyclists during commuting times. At the end of this experiment PCSO's rigorously enforced the new (old?) rules. I know several people who got out by this, due to a lack of knowledge.
Not me though, I'm a good boy
nope, not a single one is on the start roster
looks like Cyril Dessel will be a popular pick...
Wholeheartedly agree with this. Very well organised, a good route, sun and what a finish. This was my first sportive and I had read comments on forums criticising the £28 fee. But I had a great day and £28 seemed a fair price for the very obvious effort and thought the organizers had put in to event...and I'm still thinking of that blast to the end
So just how many injuries are there resulting from pavement cycling in Wales? And how many cyclists are injured in accidents on the roads in Wales? A few statistics might bring everything into perspective regarding the real or imagined menace of pavement cycling.
Some probably are irresponsible but a 600% rise in a year? That's incredible and makes me think they're probably slapping fines on people riding to bike parking spaces in paved areas and other things that don't do anyone any harm and are the result of bad infrastructure.
are there any team leaders racing in the next event?
Don't know about the front, but I love my Hamax rack mounted rear seat. Strong, good value and best of all the rack is super strong so when I swap the child for tents or shopping, I've got a great base.
You really want one of these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/co-pilot-limo-child-seat/
We had two (sold unfortunately or I would offer them to you!) for our two children and they are the best you can get.
They come with a Blackburn aluminium rack and the seatch clips onto that. It makes the support under the seat rock solid. I've seen people riding with seats that suspend off an arm and the amount of flex is scary! Take the seat off and the bike looks 'normal' and you have a top-notch Blackburn rack left.
The seats also recline, and both our two children used to fall asleep on long rides!
Seriously recommended and they resale on ebay really well, so the initial investment is worth it.
No, we decided to up the transfers to 6 for this stage as there were a *lot* of roster changes. back to 4 for the next few...
Hmm, good points indeed about possible lack of modulation.
Would not want to lock up the front on the road either!
Sure the idea really appeals to me - a CX-ish bike with hydraulic brakes. Commuter, bridleways etc. That would be pretty cool, but indeed modulation may become quite high on the list as I don't think that locking up fronts on the road for example is a good idea. It could be plausible with hydraulic brakes too... maybe... dono....
Now thne, let's make a really clever anti lock mechanism for bikes. Not too much extra complexity yet high effectiveness.
Oh that would be good!
just a thank you for organising a superb comp.
ps I seem to have 6 transfers not 4 for next stage, is this becos I didnt use the 2 in race transfers and so they are added ??
Thanks, now all i need to do is think of a good name
Don't make excuses for them, what they do is antisocial and sometimes dangerous.
Your attitude reminds me of the standard response given by young thugs and vandals who routinely bleat about "Nuffink for young people to do round 'ere."
Pitiful.
yes, just click on 'my account' and you can change it in there.
Freaky.. I also had 2x £15 O2 top-ups on my card, about a month after some CRC purchases. However, this was also about a week after a purchase on Wiggle, who have also had some forum chat about the same thing in the past.
I had assumed Wiggle might be the source of the leak, since they retain your card number on their system. However, it now seems its not that simple!
My friend, helped me make my fantasy league team, he put a stupid team name of pedalphiles???? I really do not want this team name! is there any way you can change it? thanks.
I can't recommend the Braccianos highly enough, really. They're excellent wheels. They're popular enough that you'll struggle to find some, like pjay says
http://road.cc/content/review/6577-pro-lite-bracciano-wheelset
I have a pair of Braccianos. I only weigh 63kg, so can't really comment on durability for heavier riders, but they are a big upgrade from the Bontrager Selects that came with my bike. The bearings are super-smooth, they accelerate and climb well and feel very stiff.
Good luck finding them in stock. I got mine from Ribble for £185, but I hear they aren't expecting any more for months.
Blaming the victims of poor cycling training provision and poor road law enforcement?
A Charge Plug as it happens, which I bought especially for the conversion, just to make things simple. But a steel frame is easy enough to cold set surely?
I thought that the transfer window for GW finished at 9 last night so I panicked and made some stupid transfers! I now see that you have until next week to make the changes. Is that right?
