Yeah, Watershed's showing a few flicks, There's a talk by Robert Penn on Fri evening, all good stuff but I fear showing the Vuelta would be a little too much for the Watershed ...
Might pop by for the Robert Penn thing .. Unfortunately my train leaves on Saturday evening whilst the Boikzmoind film is showing in Millennium Square , gutted...
Doh! Just too late, there's been a sudden price rise
£4?
Bargain, might get myself a couple!
Competitive Cyclist recently had a 50% off sale on Ionos lids, but the sale only lasted 24hrs. Managed to bag one for $119 USD
Its in the post and I eeees very happy.
wikipedia claims "In November 2007, she appeared on ITV1 in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in Australia" but I've no idea if that's true.
"White van in hit and run incident" - We're nearly to the point where this is no longer news.
No doubt the "White van driver given £20 fine and box of chocolates for nearly killing cyclist in hit and run incident while on the phone, reading the Sun, and drinking a can of Stella" story will be posted here on road.cc in a few months time.
Hi
Mail sent re hoods
didn't road.cc post about a cycling festival at the watershed this weekend? Make sense if they show the race coverage too.
I've found the Gore Bike wear Oxygen one really good. cut for road cycling very light and small pack sizeand stands up to a drenching. Can get a bit hot if you are riding really hard but the best compromise I've found.
Well, for Gerrans, it's a move to a 'home' team - he's clearly impressed with the Aussie management and wants to work with people who have supported him for a long time. But for the most part, people move teams either for more money, or a better 'place' in the new team (i.e. they think they'll get more opportunities to be the supported rider, or to get in to breaks, or to support a team win - more opportunities to achieve personal goals). That is, assuming that they have been offered a new contract with their existing team and turned it down...
I've made 3 changes to my provisional lineup of 3 weeks ago. I've got a strong base which should score good points right the way through the first week. I expect to get between 50 and 60 points from TTT with a core of 7 riders all in the strongest TTT teams but also some of the strongest bunch and group sprinters. I've got 2 guys who have the potential to not score anything during TTT but I might be lucky and get a point or 2. One of those is a points compromise who I'll change through week 1 but the other is going to finish very high up on stage 2.
Feeling confident... probably a bad sign!
Why would anyone leave Sky? I certainly wouldn't.
Maybe you could try one of these:

Only £200 !?
If these lights are as well made and functional as other Lezyne kit they will be worth considering, even if they cost a little more. I really like my Pressure Drive pump. Design matters, both aesthetically and practically.
I don't think it's fair to compare them with the powerful units you can get via dealextreme and similar sources. I don't see those sellers involved in the sport and, although the P7 lights are powerful, I've seen a number of complaints about them failing. And if the seller pulls the plug you have no comeback. Swings and roundabouts.
I will be interested to see if the beam pattern is up to the job. I'd consider a well made front light that improves on my Fenix LD20.
Sad news. Life just isn't fair sometimes
Get well Simon.
Don't forget Keelan Phillips! Top flatlander in the UK, and personally speaking, the best edit (though Danny's edit is a very close second...) SO good to see 'minority' sports getting some serious airtime!
Jeez, I wish Simon a speedy recovery
we have some 199GBP deals for september and october to ride Alpe d'Huez Galibier etc - last few remaining spots.

Cheeky post I know

But they did ask Cav on Breakfast TV whether he rode his bike 'down the shops' so the media attitude to silly old cycling is part of the problem. Kicking a pigskin around is 'sport'. Riding a bike is something losers with no cars do surely?
Any idea of how they compare with the slightly dearer Free Aero bib shorts?
personally i find the frame shape totally ugly.. imo frames esp on cycle glasses need to be very fine so that there is no way the frame could ever block even a sliver of side vision.. i'm not a herd animal, i wear what suits and pleases me , oakley never attracted me no matter what celebrity or pro cyclist wore them.. best of luck to the 'lucky' buyers who likely gave the manufacturer treble what they cost to make.. in these straightened times why is it that while most of us suffer the PLC'S still want to increase their profits.. time they had a taste of bad times .. slap it well up them..
Fair enough
Got 50 watchers since lunch today, still open to offers!
I really do like the look of them, much prettier than Hope's solution.
I just hope that the clamps are affordable as replacements/extras
All I can say is that after Walmart, Kmart, and Target started selling GT, Schwinn, and Mongoose (in the US), I'll never look at one the same. I don't know how GT or any of those brands can get any credibility back after slumming junk bikes for $89.99.
