I saw Kwiatkowski is the highest valued rider for the ITT!... Wow! Never expected that!

He's not the highest priced rider for the ITT, he's the highest priced rider for all three world championship events. He's got form in the TTT, ITT and on Medium Mountain stages so across all three events he's the 'best' rider. Riders like Martin and Wiggins have form in one or two of those events but not all three so they are cheaper.

All fair, but perhaps on the basis of unlimited transfers for both standard and purist, maybe the rider prices should change in future world champs for each race to reflect their discipline specific strengths. But that's prob a nightmare for the administrator to run Wink

Not a nightmare, we'd just need to separate out each race into its own competition.

There are major downsides to that though, namely that prices would be set for every rider in the game on each individual event meaning for the ITT anyone with any ITT form would have a high price. Because the best TTers are all in the race it means that there wouldn't be much price variation. You'd have everyone who's scored well in a TT at 30+ credits then all the crap down at 3 credits and naff all in between.

Grouping the three races together gives some variation by averaging values across all the events.

What a great race this ToB was. But on a fantasy team perspective, I'm so glad it's over. I sucked big time, truly awful Sad you guys just all killed me!

I agree. The top 3 I thought were easy picks. 4 and 5 is what it came down to. I took the slight gamble of going radioshack 4, bmc 5, garmin 6+
That wasn't far off in the end!

Better than my ToB total shocker at any rate!

I think he's got his eye on the road race but after beating Martin recently he might fancy his chances in the ITT.

  • World's TTT1 year 4 weeks agoTo win the stage you needed

To win the stage you needed to be confident in your picks and pick two each from the top four and one from the fifth team. Being cautious and spreading your picks around to edge your bets was a safer choice but always going to score less the the people going all out and making the right picks.

Me too. I thought it was rather predictable for the people who did their homework. Only the 5th team was somewhat difficult to guess.

  • Tour of Britain Stage 8: Bradley Wiggins seals overall win, Mark Cavendish takes the stage1 year 4 weeks agoThe Petacchi-Cavendish combo

The Petacchi-Cavendish combo looks set to be a force to reckon with - bring on the TdF! Quite funny to see how Petacchi needs to be careful to time his effort or he's over the line first.

What was going on in Peter Williams' mind? Quite right the commissaires relegated him in the 2nd sprint, bit embarrassing though for the local IG Sigmasport team.

A great Tour of Britain with exciting racing and showcasing some brilliant homegrown talent.

Scores updating. Only 35 joint winners (I was expecting more). I was one of the joint winners and my standard team (all of 6 points behind thanks to having 2 Radioshack and 1 Greenedge rider instead of the other way around) was 89th.

Given that the Worlds is a competition across three races the fact that a lot of people got similar points isn't the end of the world, you can't win this fantasy comp by doing well in the TTT (much like in a real race).
