• Exposure Flare rear light1 year 6 hours agosame issues starting here

same issues starting here after only a few uses - every time you hit a bump it changes modes. I bought it for the very bright pulsing flash mode on my TT bike, but that only lasts a very short distance before the slightest bump switches it to constant mode. For some reason the rest of the bumps dont swap it back to pulsing mode though...

Think I'll probably return mine and look for a better alternative. Shame as its potentially a great little light that should deliver exactly what we need - high visibility in a tiny package.

Fair enough the police get it wrong sometimes as do cyclists but this coppers attitude was poor and aggressive, he should have a reprimand for that alone. Total embarassement to the force.
He also looks like he needs to get on his bike and lose a few pounds. Too much time eating donuts in his panda car.

Hardly. As far as I understand it, the stats indicate that if there was doping it was before he joined Sky, and the stats being investigated suggest he stopped before/when he joined Sky.

If anything it validates the one-strike attitude at Sky.

Actually it doesn't necessarily suggest that at all (although the bias of the report tends to suggest that). What it says is that there is a discrepancy between the Endura bloods and the Sky bloods. It says the Sky bloods appear consistent. But all that is saying is that there was some change between cycling for the two teams. Could be that they markedly improved or that they markedly declined in some value. JTL now has to explain why.

That might be the case but given the riders form at the two teams it would appear only the Team Sky bashers would read it that way.

That said I hope there is a logical explanation and that JTL isn't tarnished by rumour if he is found innocent.

  • WRR WTF is going on?1 year 7 hours agoI think its fair for most of

I think its fair for most of the criticism to be directed at Froome. The others were there to help him and once he'd dropped out there was little point in them continuing. In fairness he has never been a classics rider and has no history of performing well over 250+km, unlike J-Rod and Valverde. But that might excuse him if he had faltered in the last couple of laps, not halfway through the race.

His interview after he'd stepped off was lame. Weather conditions blah blah, and then at the end he admitted that the conditions were the same for everyone! We all know Froome is much more at home in the warm, but if he'd trained as hard for this as he says, then he would've been able to stay the course a lot longer than that.

So I suspect drh is actually right, that this wasn't really a goal for Froome. Unfortunately, GB have no other riders that could have led the team on a course like this, so their only option was to build Froome up as leader and hope that the weather held, and that he had better legs than they suspected.

And we shouldn't excuse Wiggo either, we all know he's crap on wet descents, but Pinot managed to stay with the leaders most of the way, and he's awful.

Shame BBC couldn't wait for the podium presentation but I was happy with the coverage especially when you have to accept they are borrowing the live feed from Italian TV. The last lap count down of 'who's who' left in the pack left Boardman et all failing to notice Stybar remaining in the pack. I would have placed a side bet on him to be placed highly (26th -Ed)

Do you think Rui Costa was riding to an SRM or perhaps just going on feel, tactics and racing nouse? Whilst Sky/BC have changed the face of GT racing, the problems with so many kids coming through the BC Academy especially via the track, is that they can sometimes lack the savvy to actually 'race' well. Why on earth did GB burn half their matches riding on the front before they even got to the circuit? If they are worried about a break going away, stick a GB rider in it and sit back. 99% of the time the break will be caught anyway.

Anyway. Well done Rui Costa. I was kicking myself for not backing him before. He's a bit of an expert of winning long, hilly GT stages (TdF Stages and 2 x Tour de Suisse).

But he was happy to move on. He got pulled by them.

I guarantee this, if he hadn't had a cam he'd have been absolutely berated by the coppers for this. And, given the quick climbdown on seeing the camera you can bet the officer in question just ignored the law.
