road.cc on YouTube
it did last year, and it doesn't this year.
As long as it's not cancelled....
He wasn't the only one riding out of his skin, another ex (?) drug user has won two stages.
Who's paying for the solicitor? Hasn't she been suspended? Is it a "no win, no fee" or has he just taken the opportunity for TV exposure? That is after all the raison d'etre for most folk these days.
Pity the interviewers aren't questioning why she Tweeted (did she do it while the car was moving), why there are tweets of her speedo at 95mph and her other tweets while supposedly in control of a weapon, sorry, car.
I feel the general media are backing her through poor, none investigative journalism.
Personally think that when a stage is abandoned then everybodys transfers for the stage should be nullified...its ok saying that people have the chance to wait and make late transfers, but thats not fair...people live in different time zones and have work committments etc and so its creating an uneven playing field...it does not affect me, but I would hate to see someone lose a Bianchi because of a penalty transfer....
Just my opinion...
I've just had an idea. Why don't we get Miss Emma Way to knock over #bloodycyclists like Daniel Da Luca and anyone else who tests positive for PEDs? It could be the new form of punishment instead of a pathetically short ban.
I could see this working....
Reading tweets and news today, it would seem Vini Fantini's DS was extremely reluctant to take him on, but Di Luca brought the sponsor Aqua e Sapone with him, so on he came. Money talks - the irony being that the dopers normally chase the sponsors away, rather than the sponsors bringing the dopers with them.
Callous self centred lying fucking bitch
Oh poor Emma her brief opines boo fucking HOO!
She could care less if the poor cyclist had been killed, its clear her heartless demeanor would be exactly the same if a fatality occurred
Its all about HER distress and inconvenience, not an ounce of forgiveness or remorse for the cyclist
Shes a piece of fucking shit end of story
If she ends up in a serious RTA tough shit,i wont be shedding any tears for the useless fucking wretch
I thought the rule about being caught as a doper and being pulled from a race means that the rider loses all points for that race.....
Genius. After so much on here making me
this has just made me
Recycling at it's best...
Petulant little brat
Not sure Daddy and his solicitor can buy your way out of this one Miss Way
Very disappointing. We have been going to the rally for years and the weather has never stopped it before and we've had some terrible downpours in the past.
As for the marketing thing. The amount they were charging probably didn't help. I personally think this is appalling, given how little notice they have given about this.
There will be plenty of people who'll know nothing about this and will have made a slot for this. Especially anyone abroad!
I did have this group, that has started on facebook, passed onto me. They're trying to arrange something for people. So maybe worth a look at! Here's a link
The Alternative York Cycle Rally
Fella that has just made me piss myself laughing!...
Utter nob. That is all.
Actually, it's easier than that. He was doing the 100 mile route on the Boudicca, and this apparently occurred in the last 5 miles, on a blind right-hander while descending in a 30 zone, described as a bend rather than a junction.
This segment is the last 20 miles, running southbound.
http://app.strava.com/segments/1546234
The start of the final 5 miles is just before the junction with the B1077.
Magpie Lane onto Rectory Road is a junction.
Sandy Lane onto Mt Pleasant is a junction, so not there.
Hargham Road onto Chalk Lane is a junction, so that's not it either.
EDIT: I reckon it might have been here, although the limit has just changed to 60 before that point:

There are surprising few locations that fit the bill otherwise.
This is a completely retarded comment. It's sort of like saying having read Mein Kampf, I would suggest all Germans hate Jews and Blacks and believe they are the pure race.
Yay - A stage win! (Joint winner with zero). Where's my badge?!
Hmmm.
Through various accounts, mostly on here I have to say there has been a lot of contradictory quotes.
'he clipped me and he wobbled'
'she was half way over the other side of the road'
and correct me if I'm worng but I also saw 'the bike went up and over the bonnet before depositing the cyclist in the nettles'.
Miskhills's and VexedVeloist's take on things are superb. Isn't the internet a wonderful thing?
Unless you're a fantastically small-brained arrogant fool who has somehow managed to convince yourself that boasting on a popular social media site about what could have been a serious road accident, thereby indicting yourself and initiating what is commonly referred to as a 'media shit storm' is a good idea. But then who would do that?
You all saw Ricardo Ricco's tweet on Wednesday afternoon right?
Drink it in, drink it right in:

Oh well, I have been watching this on Eurosport highlights out of commitment to starting it. I really was watching for Wiggo but kept going as once you start something... So this has saved an hour of my life, and Nibali will win no doubt, I might watch Graham Norton instead.
that protos is HOT
The BBC has done some poor interviews but this really takes the biscuit.
Di Luca's positive test was from an out-of-competition test, not a stage-finish test, and the UCI press release confirming his ban is dated today. so i'm calling it as today's stage, not yesterday's
