With devastating tenacity Fabian Cancellara rode this Trek Domane to a magnificent victory in this year's E3 Harelbeke. He attacked with 35km to go, in a fashion that has seen him win races in the past, built up a good gap over the chasers, including Peter Sagan (who made up for it by winning today's Gent - Wevelgem), and soloed to the finish line. Vintage Cancellara.
My short list - Trek Madone 4.7. Bianchi Sempre Pro Athena. Storck Scenero G2. All feel great on the 20 minute test ride. Magazines generally review them well. All can be got from local (10 mile radius) LBS of which each shop is known for being a good specialist. Absolutely stumped. Any good ideas or another bike you expected to see (Canyon Internet only and I am technically illiterate so need the LBS for guidance). Thanks.
This year our event is taking place on Sunday 2nd June 2013, once again we will be running rides over 100 miles and 100k across the fantastic riding country surrounding Stratford upon Avon. NEW for 2013 This year we are offering an extra challenge – The Super Heroes 150 miles a time restricted (12 hour) fully supported, signed and timed sportive.
Three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond reportedly plans to produce bikes again before long, perhaps in time for this year’s Interbike show which takes place in Las Vegas in September.
We reported earlier in the month that LeMond has established a new venture called LeMond Inc, the initial product being the already established Lemond Revolution indoor trainer for which the company has secured the rights.
I'm narrowing my choices regarding a new bike, but have a dilemma. Two of those on the shortlist are a Trek Madone 4.7 and a Canyon Ultimate CF 9.0. Extremely similar geometry (58 in the Trek = 60 in the Canyon), both full carbon good quality frames, both with Shimano Ultegra. However, the Trek has Bontrager Race Tubeless Ready wheels, which the LBS tell me are "pretty much equivalent to Ksyrium Elites". Is this about right? The Canyon actually has Ksyrium Elites.

I'm selling my Trek 2.5. Bought brand new in September 2011 and it's done about 1500 miles since in dry conditions (I've got a banger for winter rides). New chain put on it in August after a fault with the previous one (it was still under warranty). Couple of cosmetic marks (see photos)but in perfect working order.
The reason it's being sold by my brother and not me is that he works in a bike shop so has been able to break it down, put it through a parts washer and set it up again (and not because I'm eBay-phobic as the little git has suggested).
New week, new bike... just arrived here at the road.cc HQ is the Trek Domane 2.3, a £1,200 endurance bike designed to offer plenty of comfort.
The Domane (pronounced doh-mah-knee) bikes, introduced last year, feature Trek’s innovative new IsoSpeed technology. You might remember that we reported on this when it was first launched. To explain it in Trek’s own words:
