2013 was the year that disc brakes really took off for road bikes. Kind of. Yes, we’ve had disc-equipped road bikes since this place was still fields but the whole disc revolution really took a step forward in 2013... before tripping over its shoelaces and ending up in a heap on the floor.

My wife's 54cm Trek 1600SLR WSD in Mineral Blue. It has a full Ultegra groupset, Bontrager finishing kit and Bontrager Select wheels.
It is very similar to:

The legend that is Jens Voigt has signed up for Trek’s new WorldTour cycling project next year, and here's the bike he’ll be racing on. The German rider, currently on Radioshack-Leopard, will turn 42 years old next month but has showed no sign that he's losing his desire to dish out pain.
"I'm glad Trek and I got to an agreement for 2014,” said Jens. “It's been three crazy years for me on Trek, with a lot of highlights, and I'm happy that we can go on for another year.

For contaxt, my current bike is a generic carbon frame bought from Graham Weigh in North Wales. It has a mix of SRAM Apex and Rival, Omega Mach 1 or Mavic Kysrium Equipe Wheels (depending on the time of year), Speedplays and a Fizik Aliante. I ride with the local club and enter the odd sportive and time trial.
