Commuting
Thanks to Fellow Cyclists - NO Thanks to 4WD Driver
Well, I suppose it had to happen eventually - 3 years commuting in London before an actual accident. Constitution Hill this morning (8 March 2011). 4WD towing an enormous JAGUAR trailer, no doubt containing one such car or maybe big cat, of course - decides to do a U-TURN - yes, a u-turn ON Constitution Hill. Having assumed it was pulling out to overtake another vehicle, I moved out, only for it to u-turn in the road.
Happiness is... commuting by bike.
It's official. According to a report by the New Economics Foundation (NEF) there are three key ingredients for a happy life - work, sleep, and bicycles. But we knew that already, didn't we?

Competitive Commuting
Hello road.cc
I thought I'd post about a terrible affliction i have. I don't think there's a cure. In fact, I hope there isn't a cure. But it is sometimes embarrasing, and I can't deny it any more.
I'm a competitive commuter.
If there's someone in front of me I have to catch them. I don't care if they're on a fixie, sit up and beg or a pinarello dogma. I will catch them, pass them, crush them.
A touring bike for me
In the market for a new comfortable road bike / tourers and been looking at Surly LHT, Salsa Vaya, Kona Sutra and Jamis Aurora Elite. Another option is a On One Pompino Alfine.
Not mega tours just 2/3 days at max and nice rides of up to 100miles.
Any thoughts or reviews on the bikes. Some like the Sutra are cheaper than RRP (£800 at Triton Cycles) so that is swaying me although Salsa, Jamis and On One are pretty (is that important)
Rich (thanks)
Mezzo Rack Pack size?
Hello, Can someone tell me the size / dimensions of the "Mezzo Rack Pack". I am unable to find this information anywhere. Is it big enough to hold a laptop on my daily commute? Thanks in advance.
