Jerseys - short sleeve
Howies Slipstream short sleeve jersey
The Howies Slipstream short-sleeved jersey is nicely made, smart-looking and generally comfortable but a few niggles make it less lovely to live with than the companion long-sleeved jersey.
The short-sleeved Howies Slipstream jersey has quite a lot in common with the long-sleeved version, but with some small but significant differences.
RH+ Vertigo Jersey FZ
The Vertigo Jersey FZ is a lightweight summer jersey that puts in a good performance in the warm weather.
It is made from quite a stretchy polyester that's light and breathable, which RH+ call Firedry Gold 100 fabric. Although it's not cut quite as close as their PW Revo Jersey FZ, it's very much a slim, athletic fit. There's not a whole lot of spare material here.
Hincapie Sportswear Power Jersey
The Hincapie Power Jersey is a lightweight, airy jersey for everyday summer riding.
The Power Jersey is made from two different types of fabric. The vast majority of panels are Aerator double-weave fabric, which is a type of polyester. It's very lightweight and it's covered in little dimples that allow air in, helping with cooling and drying.
Sportful Pista Long Zip Jersey
It's easy to spend a lot of money on a cycling jersey but the excellently conceived Sportful Pista Long Zip Jersey just goes to show that, really you don't have to. For £40 you get a very smart looking jersey available in several colours with a fit and fabric that works brilliantly in a range of spring and summer conditions.
Castelli Velocissimo Team Jersey FZ
Castelli produce a vast range of jerseys and choosing the right one can be tricky, but I reckon the Velocissimo Team Jersey FZ is one of the nicest, with simple graphics that should appeal to most people's aesthetic sensibilities. And the fabric works brilliantly to keep you dry on hot and potentially sweaty rides.
Craft Active bike Logo jersey
This Craft Active bike Logo jersey is a classic race jersey that comes highly recommended for summer runs.
If you've watched pro cycling in recent years you've probably seen Craft's kit in action. They're currently the chaps covering Fabian Cancellara's modesty and I'm sure the King of the Classics doesn't wear any old schmutter.
Castelli Prima Jersey FZ
The Castelli Prima Jersey FZ uses the Italian company's ProSecco 3D which is very lightweight and breathable for keeping you cool on hot days. Combine the cool styling that strikes a good balance between understated and bold, plus the good fit, and you have a top quality jersey for spring and summer.

Etxeondo Feather Short Sleeve jersey
The Etxeondo Feather Short Sleeve jersey is an extremely slim fitting jersey with a very breathable fabric. It's excellent on the bike but does come with a high price tag. It does look good though, stylish and simple, and you're not likely to see many people wearing Etxeondo kit on UK roads.

Primal Axios Helix jersey
This Primal Axios Helix jersey is a classily restrained looking racing top, but the American Company Primal certainly have some interesting jersey styles in their catalogue with the likes of their Rock and Roll album cover range or the Brewery collection depicting your favourite tipple.

Cafe du Cycliste Suzanne Jersey
Mon dieu! – or words to that effect – is probably what most people will say when their eyeballs spot the rather high price tag. €115 for a short sleeved cycling jersey puts it on the shelf beside other luxury cycling brands such as Rapha, and the price is comparable to their lightweight jersey or any top from Assos.
This lightweight jersey from Cafe du Cycliste certainly looks very French with its horizontal stripes even if it is made in Romania.
