Tackle the famous hill climbs surrounding Matlock. This is an extremely challenging short sportive with ride options of 60km/37 miles (1750m of ascent) and 33km/20 miles (750m of ascent) based in the Derwent Valley and surrounding countryside - expect some very steep ascents (10 on the long route) with gradients in excess of 20%. Includes: Sydnope Hill, Bank Road, Riber Road, Wirksworth, Bonsall, Birchover & Rowsley Bar. Make this sportive your final big challenge before Winter.

After the success of the inaugural Buxton Spa last summer the event is back once again for 2015.
The Buxton Spa explores the south western fringes of the Peak National Park and visits the three counties of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire.
The Ultimate Sportive Challenge
The inaugural PEAK EPIC in 2013 set a new benchmark for a hard Peak District sportive, the 2014 event confirmed it as one of, if not, the UK’s toughest Grand Fondo’s. Up there with the Dragon Ride and the Fred Whitton.
The truly epic long route ascends 4000m (>13000ft) in just 165km (103 miles) across the full breadth of Peak District taking in the; Hope Valley, Edale, Chapel-en-le-Frith, The Goyt Valley/Cat & Fiddle, Macclesfield Forest, Axe Edge, Longnor and finally Lathkill Dale.
Tackle the roads and hill climbs in the Bradfield/Stannington/Sheffield area as principally used on the 2014 Tour de France. This is a tough/challenging short sportive with ride options of 63km and 33km with approx 1700m and 700m of ascent respectively. The long route includes the climbs of Oughtibridge, Midehopstones, Bradfield and Strines; the shorter route is primarily in the Bradfield area.
On each route expect:
- A clearly signed/arrowed route
- A feed-station providing juice, water, gels/bars and fruit
- En-route climb information boards
Cyclists from across the region will soon have the chance to attempt their own ‘Tour de Berkshire’ with the announcement of a new cycling event coming to Hungerford. The inaugural Black Legend cycling Sportive is now open for entries. Grab your Lycra, dust off those saddles and head to the start line on Sunday 22 March 2015 and take on a truly spectacular route across the Berkshire countryside, which passes through Lambourne and the Marlborough Downs.
A Rouleur in cycling terms is a rider that is a consistent all rounder, who can ride well over most terrians. The Beacon Rouleur is a cyclosportive route that suits such a rider. Tough large climbs in the beginning like Ditchling Beacon and the Bear Road in Brighton and faster flat sections later on make up the Beacon Rouleur cyclosportive route.
Join us for a perfect summer tour of Essex. Select from 3 courses 50, 70 or an Epic 100 mile. The Only Way Sportive starts at the home of Colchester FC and takes riders into Essex along a scenic "rolling" course, ideal for those attempting their first 100 mile sportive. The route visits many historical Essex villages where the Roman and Saxon influences can be seen, before turning North and into Suffolk briefly where the most Northerly point of the route is.
The Work From Home Sportive is a real midweek summer treat for with 3 routes around the scenic Surrey Hills featuring enough challenging terrain for all levels of sportive riders. The venue for this event is Denbies, Nr Dorking, which nestles in the shadow of Boxhill and is within easy reach of main transport links and featuring all the facilities needed for a top day out on the bike. The three routes, Epic at 61 miles, Standard at 30 miles and the Short at 14 miles, all head for the iconic zig-zags of the Olympic road course which winds its way up Boxhill to the stunning viewpoint.
The Wiggle Ashdown Sportive is a challenging early season sportive, set in the Heart of Sussex. Starting from the well-equipped South of England Showground, the route explores the scenic Sussex countryside with its stunning views, quiet roads, and 2 breath-taking reservoirs (Weir Wood & Ardingly). You will pass through quaint villages as you weave your way to the Ashdown Forest. The Forest is at the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has national and international protection because of its wildlife.
