Hope House Children's Hospice Cycle Challenge

Join us once again for our annual Cycling Challenge as we go up a few hills and down a few mountains en route to Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala!

Last year nearly 300 cyclists joined us for this fabulous fun event which starts and finishes at Hope House Children's Hospice (SY10 9BX).

You can choose the 56 mile route to Lake Vyrnwy, or the 72 mile route to Lake Bala which returns via Bwlch y Groes – one of the highest public road mountain passes in Wales with a summit altitude of 545 metres!

Following the success of 2014, Epilepsy Action’s very own cyclo-sportive - the Harrogate Sportive, returns for 2015.

With two routes available, the event is suitable for riders of varying abilities and showcases some of the very best cycling routes Yorkshire has to offer. Following feedback from last year, the difficulty level of the medium route has been reduced.

Event includes: Scenic route, finishers T-shirt, refreshments , medical and mechanical support.

Registration is now open and spaces are filling quickly for the Oxford to Cambridge Bike Ride, which is taking place on 19 September. For one day, put aside your regular routine and unite with the nation’s heart charity and over 800 cyclists to fight back against coronary heart disease, the UK’s single biggest killer. The 90 mile route between the two rival University towns is predominantly flat and all on road through beautiful meandering countryside.

Our Kent Cycling Festival offers an amazing cycling experience. Choose your type of ride, either on road or adventure ride and hit the villages of Kent for a ride you won't forget. The on road ride offers distances of 50 miles and 65 miles. The 40 mile route will take you through villages heading south west of Canterbury such as Fordwich, Westmarsh Ware, Sandwich, Eastry and Chillenden. The extention route which makes up 65 miles also takes in villages heading round the perimeter of Dover such as West Langdon, West Cliffe and Whitfield.

The three routes are as follows: Wrynose or Bust 188km (117 miles); Bay Dash 115km (72 miles) and The Silverdale Sling 60km (37 miles).

Starting at Woodgate Valley Visitor Centre, riders can choose from two scenic routes. Both routes meander through the leafy green South Birmingham suburbs and the picturesque countryside of North Worcestershire. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or complete novice, there is a route to suit your ability.
