My quest to make turbo training more fun goes on...

Whilst surfing the 'net I came across this brilliant new website which is allowing you to upload timed and measured plans for turbo training.

www.turbotraining.co.uk is the name and after a quick registration you can be following other peoples plans or (and this is the fun part) creating your own!

I have been working on the pyramid of pain ...

... a session which is designed to warm you up, get some pain in your legs, hold the form, go for some more intervals and then warm you down.

Beating the winter boredom...

I have finally found a fool proof way to beat turbo training blues in the winter.

I proved it whilst pedalling along in my front room before seven o'clock this morning.

So what is this breakthrough I have made to make the dull hours fly by in the saddle?

This. For £100 and a summer of investment of time, I now have a dvd library burnt from footage taken from the handlebar cam.

Colds, 'Flu & too much to do :0(

It's been a frustrating second half of the week but I will be heading out into the cold shortly to pedal some of the stress out.

I have managed to snare my second bad cold of the winter this week and have taken the monumental decision to not sit around moping this time.

I have spent enough time working this week and the thought of getting some miles in over the two day break has been a factor in helping me get through office life.

Daylight robbery or total snobbery?

Following on from the theme of my last blog (but not wanting to pigeonhole myself as the road.cc fashionista) I wanted to talk about how pleased I am thus far with the content our this esteemed website's forum.

Most other message boards I have had the time to frequent seem to have an obsession with 'cycling as the new golf'. Which is fine. Rich business types on Cervelo's are still fair game and worth catching to someone of my limited ability.

It's here!

After a week or so of badgering Tony and Dave, my blog is live and kicking on Road.cc. So welcome aboard and hopefully it wont take you long to get onto my warped wavelength. I am taking todays blog as my audition and having read the "want to write" instructions down the left hand side of the page, I am going to use the 200 odd word review suggested as my opening gambit. [i]"I want to write on road.cc and here is my review of the site promoting jersey I got for Christmas. My partner is so anti-argyle it isn't true.
