What an amazing head wind this evening, I am exhausted after my 8 mile commute, the wind added an extra 10mins to the journey!

I have decided to write about and photograph my fellow commuters, riders I see every day. Why do they ride, what do they ride? What do they get out of it, is it the same as me?

I must find out about this guy, he rides every day on the same Dawes bike, always wrapped up against the elements regardless of the weather; but the most interesting thing is that he always rides "no handed".

Tomorrow I am going to stop him and ask why?

been in the smoke over the weekend, would love to have had my SS or fixie with me!

Is this the worlds largest rim brake, are they electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic or a combination ?

Today I saw the rain and made the snap decision to drive to work. What a mistake! I then spent 45 mins sat in traffic for an 8 mile journey; all for a job I hate!

I broke my own cardinal rule, “do not drive for journeys less than 10 miles unless needing to carry the proverbial kitchen sink”.

The M40 into London used to have a graffiti sign next to it saying:

“Why do I do this everyday?”

“Suit and tied, hypnotised, city wise” – REM

Get out and ride!

It’s amazing how many people do not look when opening car doors. Is it possible to get Ben Hur like bar ends? Being tooled up for a ride is beginning to take on a new meaning.

To add insult to injury I also ran over a shard of glass which has shredded my front tyre (Bontrager X-lite AC in yellow – very fast), it looks like a Stella Sea Lion after a Great White Shark attack!
